Memories to Last a Lifetime
5 Magical Days At Persie
A sample itinerary — arrangements can be tailored entirely to your group's pace and interests.
-
Arrive after 4pm and settle into the House, with a fire lit and the estate's own hills as your welcome. No plans needed today — just the loch, the gardens, and an evening to unwind.
Evening: Private chef, night one — a relaxed dinner at the House, using local Perthshire produce, so you can ease into the week without a thought for cooking.
-
Morning: A guided tour and tasting at Persie Distillery, just at the bottom of the drive — copper stills and small-batch craft, right on your doorstep.
Afternoon: Fishing on the Blackwater, or a quieter hour or two out on Persie Loch in one of the estate's boats, trying your luck for wild brown trout.
Evening: Free evening to cook together or relax by the fire.
-
Morning: Off-road driving by Land Rover across the estate's wild Highland terrain — a different vantage point on Persie's landscape entirely.
Midday: A picnic by the river — a simple spread, table and rugs set up on the Persie riverbank, making the most of the estate's own water and woodland.
Afternoon: Choose your own walk — the Ardblair Trail & Bluebell Wood for something longer, or Knockie Wood for a shorter route tracing the River Ericht past its waterfalls and old mills.
Evening: Private chef, night two — a celebratory dinner to mark the halfway point of your stay.
-
Morning: A hands-on cookery experience at Glenkilrie Larder, working with the finest Perthshire produce.
Afternoon: Drive to Braemar (around 35 minutes) for high tea at the Fife Arms — a change of scene, and a chance to see one of the Highlands' most celebrated hotels.
Evening: Return to Persie for a relaxed dinner at the House.
-
Morning: An exclusive attic tour of Blair Castle, a rare glimpse into one of Scotland's great historic houses.
Afternoon: A tailored whisky trail through the region's finest distilleries, shaped around your own taste — the perfect way to bring the week to a close.
Evening: A final night at Persie, with the fire lit and the whole week to look back on.
