Renovated in 2023, Hillside Cottage is a wonderful base to relax and explore. Three comfortable bedrooms and a shared family bathroom open onto a spacious living room, perfect for unwinding with a book by the wood burner. The garden is enclosed for children and dogs, with a table and bench looking out over open woodland — keep an eye out for red squirrels and deer as you sit with your morning coffee.


Just 11 miles from the Cairngorms National Park, with Bridge of Cally 2.5 miles away and Blairgowrie 9 miles for a wider range of shops and amenities.

FAQs

What amenities are there?
All necessary cooking equipment, including a dishwasher and microwave, a kitchen table seating 6, WiFi, central heating, a wood burner, and a Smart TV. All towels are provided.

Are dogs welcome?
Yes — dogs can stay in the boot room or the purpose-built hut in the enclosed garden, though not in the Cottage's living areas. Please note Persie is a working farm, with sheep and cattle on the hill, so dogs must be kept on a lead at all times outside.

Is there WiFi?
Yes. Despite the remote location, the Cottage has excellent satellite internet, with typical speeds of 50–70 Mbps — suitable for home working and streaming across multiple devices.

How can I book?

What are the booking rates?

What are check-in and check-out times?
We ask that guests arrive no earlier than 4pm. Check-out is by 10am. If you need to arrive earlier, please let us know in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Who do I contact during my stay?
Resident estate managers Stephen & Carol live nearby and are available throughout your stay.

Do you have a short-term let licence?
Yes — the Cottage's licence number is PK11007F.

What safety measures are in place?
The Cottage is fitted with fire, smoke, heat, and CO detectors, along with fire extinguishers. Please familiarise yourself with their locations and the exit routes on arrival.
